He won't give you a word count so just write a LOT. like a lot of yap etc. Don't try to ask him if it's long enough/how long it should be because he won't tell you, but he will tell you you didn't write enough after it's graded. He is a HARSH grader.

Her American studies class is a lot of lectures with slideshows and class Debates. She always posts her resources and slides in Google classroom. There's a decent amount of writing related worksheets, but not too much. There are a couple of slideshows you have to make throughout the year, but if you delegate your time and do the work in class, it isn't that bad.

Make sure to write notes in your notebook so you can use them on tests! There isn't an insane amount of homework as long as you remember to do it. She accepts things late until the unit test. There are a lot of hands on labs and dissections in this class, so be ready to get up and physically do stuff.
