Best class ever. Learned so much throughout the year and am so grateful to have been apart of this class. Yes he might seem tough but he is fair and gives the best criticism and advice to help you become a better writer and thinker.
Class of 2019
The class is very heavy in writing (makes sense, it's an English class). As long as you try your best to analyze the readings and put effort into it, you should do well. As someone who's shy and doesn't like to contribute, I did pretty well in his class - it's not too participation-heavy.

Class of 2020
This man is someone I respect and admire. If you actually pay attention in his class you will learn so much and just become a better person. Mr. Berger-White changed my values, morals, and made me rethink who I am as a person. The reading, writing and discussions are all so impactful and deep. They stick with you and it is because of the way he structured the course. NO busy work, or stupid readings. Everything connects and is so interesting. Make sure to get engaged in discussions during class and listen to what he says. A large part of who I am today because I took his English class my sophomore year. Mr. Berger-White cares so much and is one of the best humans I have ever met in my whole entire life.
Class of 2019
Mr. Berger-White is very passionate about what he does. He wants students to put a lot of effort into their work, which can be annoying time-wise. However, it's definitely worth it in the end. He is a tough grader but wants his students to grow through their writing style, analysis and their personal voice.
