You need to be ready to be yelled at, not ask questions, be super smart, and spend a lot of time reading stuff and doing questions that you won't need/ won't help. He has good intentions, and sometimes hell lead you in the right direction, but some of his problems will require prior knowledge that if you don't know, you will have a hard time. You'll need outside help, maybe a little photomath and a lot of mental fortitude to not get stressed when you get bad scores (which you will).

You won't actually learn a lot, but you'll have to read a lot of papers and do questions on it. I found that asking questions just gets you yelled at so I recommend getting outside help. His goal is to help his students, which is a good quality in a teacher, but some of his ways can be unhelpful and, honestly at the beginning of the year quite hurtful. Overall, his intentions are good, but he hasn't been the most helpful teacher in terms of actually learning.

There are two ways you can go here. Either be his favorite and you'll pass all of his tests but everyone will be extremely annoyed by you. Or you can be normal and get by and you can just complain to your parents. I personally chose the second route but to each his own.
