If you take the class with her, it will be helpful for you to already have known how to code beforehand

Make sure to focus on your work and do it all not only when there's a turn-in link but also when you don't need to turn it in to make sure that you practice writing. When you are given notes about how to write well keep them handy and use them on the writing you have to turn it (use them as a rubric of some sorts).

The tests and quizzes are weighted VERY heavily in Mr. George's class-- they make up 90% of your total grade. If you're struggling, go to tutoring! It really helps. I like going to tutoring with a bunch of different teachers from the department so I can get things explained in multiple ways. Also, even when he doesn't say to take notes, I would highly recommend doing them to keep yourself on task during the (sometimes dull) lectures. I found it difficult to conceptualize all of the material without detailed notes, but everyone is different.

If you are struggling in class reach out to Mr. Golden. He is an extremely accommodating and caring teacher. He will work with you closely if needed because he truly wants to see you succeed. You just have to advocate for yourself. I would definitely take his class again. Mr. Golden's lectures were fun and engaging for me, especially since I was interested in the course topic. Do the homework and especially the study guides, the exams closely mirror them.

He is a very understanding and flexible teacher. Don't take this for granted or take extra advantage of it and do your work for the due deadlines if you're able to.

Don’t go into the class with expectations based on another class. Don’t try to memorize when you don’t have to

Do all the daily homework because you will get 100s on it just for completing it usually, then if you do poorly on a test it won't destroy your grade.
