The class is very enjoyable if you enjoy the type of stuff taught. Easy to pass if you put in the effort. You must study for her tests, they are moderately difficult for a reason. If you don't do the work, you won't pass the class. Reading Plus is important.

Read the books! Don't be the person that thinks that SparkNotes will get you through her final tests, because with Mrs. Barefoot that's not how it works. All the work she gives you is for a grade and it all has a purpose so do it! She's also. an amazing teacher by the way.

Mrs. Barefoot was by far my favorite teacher in 7th grade. She is so nice and the stuff she teaches is really interesting (The Hobbit, short stories, etc. ) and she makes it fun to do the work. Some classes might seem boring but they are extremely helpful for 8th grade.

Mrs. Barefoot is one of the sweetest most sincere teachers I've ever met. A lot of kids say that she doesn't teach. I agree because she just makes us work, but for me, this helped me. learn. You will become so. much more mature when it comes to English by the end of the year.
