DO. THE. WORK. STUDY IF YOU DO NOT GET THE MATERIAL. I took the AB Calculus class and it is a lot. You get a unit circle quiz the 3rd day of school. It moves very fast, and at the start it's okay, but it starts getting to you second semester. If you don't understand a concept go to tutoring or watch videos.

Do. The. Work. The work is very important and you have to keep track of the due dates. Since it's and AP class you want/need to keep up with it. And for the country quiz' you just need to study.
