I took AP Seminar, AP Research, and AP Literature with Mr. Fig. My best advice is if you have the opportunity to take his classes, DO IT!!!! Mr. Fig is honestly one of the best teachers I've had my entire high school career and his classes have benefitted me tremendously. I am a much better writer due to his classes and I've gained essential skills like analyzing literature and published scholarly works. My advice for capstone students specifically is to DO THE WORK AND LISTEN TO DEADLINES! ASK FOR HELP IF YOU FEEL YOURSELF STRUGGLING!!!!! Mr. Fig wants the best possible work from his students and will definitely harp on that but he is also understanding when it comes to mental health and life issues in general. Do not take advantage of his kindness and you will be fine. He is always willing and ready to help and answer any questions you may have. I think I've asked Mr. Fig the same question about the AP Lit exam 5 times already and he answers it each and every time without annoyance. He is definitely one of those teachers who wants their students to succeed. For AP Lit make sure you are understanding what each Q is about and asking. Pay attention and take the practices seriously.
