For Dereu's Psych class, make sure to MEMORIZE the studies. Listen when he assigns essays to write, he'll tell you what he wants included. If you're not good at writing essays, don't take the class. If you're still going to, use the ERQ guide he provides. Good luck.

Never feel bad about asking him a question. He is open to explaining specific material all the time, provided people are willing to ask for help.

IB is horrible and terrible; you sell your soul to the devil to make a 4. 0 UW GPA to play the college admissions game. But it's okay, because John DeReu is there to greet you with a smile every morning at 7AM. The class definitely was relentless and I found out that I very much do not want to go into psychology. I definitely am a slacker and procrastinator and suffered a ton cramming the night before the tests, but it I sure did learn. I can confidently say I stuck it out.

LOTS of homework. Overall, he's a good teacher. He's scary, but he'll help you out.
