The calculus courses taught by Mr. Tyler are not meant to be easy. You might be able to get a decent grade without trying, but to excel at the UCONN ECE final and to prepare for future AP math courses, you need to put time in outside of class.

Class of 2019
Mr. Tyler does an exceptional job at integrating the material into situations that the student cares about. A lot of introductory calculus seems abstract since you are just memorizing rules and techniques. What I've noticed about classes with Mr. Tyler is that he occasionally shows interesting problems and ideas that you can tackle later in your math education given a strong foundation in calculus. This helps kids to see why they are learning math in the first place.
