Listen to the lectures and take notes. He will pull a lot of exam questions based on what he says during his class. The textbook is fair game as well. There is heavy reading involved, and you need to know this going in. It is best to break up the reading as much as possible so that the workload isn't as stressful. This class will ask a lot from you, but know that you will be a better student for it. Communicate with the teacher as much as possible about what's going on in your life, if eveything is not going so well. He will understand, but don't let that think he will hold your hand and baby you. He knows that your capable of a lot, and expects a higher standard for you then most teachers do.
