Papers, presentations, and research projects are graded harshly, but pretty much everything else is a free grade as long as you do the work and pay attention. TAKE GOOD NOTES almost every test is open note besides the map questions!! Also make good maps, they will help you. Study for the map quizzes too, otherwise you won't do well. Papers are assigned in place of tests if you skip class on a test/quiz day. If you can't keep up with lectures, use your laptop with the slide deck open to get ahead.

For English 10 H The tests are either the easiest thing in the world or very difficult Kinda goes into specifics for quizzes but if you skim and do litchartnotes you should be good (not sparks) Homework is very sporadic its like 1 week has a really big assignment and then you have nothing for 3 weeks Gives out a lot of B's on essays but it is very possible to get an A 4th quarter is very boring thanks to Macbeth

Mr. Rowe tailors his class so that all students can achieve the highest level of success they are capable of. However, you must be willing to write the essays, do the practice AP MC tests, and read when he tells you to. You do NOT have to read the entire book, rather he assigns specific sections that he will quiz you on later in the week. This book quizzing happens once or twice depending on whether or not the class as a whole is actually reading or not. So, if you don't want to get crushed by reading quizzes, read when he tells you to and ace the quizzes- the curve is very high. As long as you do as he instructs, there should be absolutely no problems with being successful in his class. His class is very low-stress, especially for an AP class, and he specifically formats his class to be more low-stress, especially in comparison to other classes you may be taking.
