I'll get straight to it. I had Mr. Nowotarski from the 2018-2019 School Year at Hale. Mr. Nowotarski was, and probably is still, known to be a "hard" teacher. I am currently a Sophmore at Elco and I can tell you that he was not "hard". His class is the single reason I enjoy reading and learning about history so much, so much I'm taking Political Science this year and hope to pursue a career in relating to government and history. No teacher I have had has made me enjoy a subject and deeply understand it to this extent than this class. But back to the main point: He assigns a lot of work, reading, and his Unit Tests are quite memorable (even to this day lol), but his teaching skills and effort put in was extraordinary. I put hard work into his class and got an A, as it should be. I remember the nights I would study I would feel pretty depressed, but I wish I had more of those nights with all my other teachers as I have never, never understood such topics to an extent where I am recalling, sometimes word by word, his lessons 2 years later. I used to be a student who studied for a grade, someone who didn't understand why I was studying, but that I just must do good in a class. I am currently on the Speech and Debate team at Elco, have taken and excelled in Political Science classes, developed a good work ethic and habit, volunteer for multiple political organizations, and am President of 2 on Campus Clubs. Rest assured, I have learned to enjoy learning and I, again, would take his class again. Thank you for everything and wanted to let everyone else know. -Ryan Kossarian
