Make sure to spend at least 10 minutes a day on your instrument! It goes a long way towards becoming confident with your playing.

Readings were enjoyable, all you can ask in a course of this nature. Mostly annotating and reading responses which but the reading choices are great so I never found any of the assignments a drag or annoying to do.

I was in this teachers ENG1A class as my first course at the SRJC. Be prepared for an essay every week. This was an accelerated course too... You will often have more than one essay at a time, (draft assigned one week, the next they have you start another) They post an essay per week, and, at least this time, didn't even have us finish the first book before assigning the next. Be prepared for a LOT of writing. They reuse the same course each time, so sometimes it seems information might be out of date.
