Class of 2028
The class is honestly not that bad, but only because I tried really hard to participate and wanted to be his favorite. The class is pretty moderate and he does assign quite a bit of work, like monthly Star Journals and CER's he expects you to do without any warning. The workload isn't that bad though as long as you actually DO IT. Participating is EXTREMELY easy and make sure you sit in the front for the best experience. My absolute FAVORITE thing about is this class was the amount of extra credit you could get. He gives you so many extra credit opportunities, probably every day. The easiest ways to get points is pointing out the wrong date or 'spelling demons', as he calls it, on the agenda. Another way, which is a bit harder, is writing more on your CER's, doing assignments early, or graphing more on your Star Journals and Moon Journals. These take more effort, but can get you up to 20 more points extra. In your science notebook, the little mini assignments he makes you do is also really fun and gets you the most amount of extra credit (60 points more ish). The extra credit he gives you is genuinely crazy and so helpful if you're a try hard. Also, you will be having the most fun in this class if you have friends. One of my biggest tips is to make more friends if you don't already have some in your class because it WILL be one of your favorite classes ever. There are VERY VERY VERY occasional tests (like 2-3 is what I remember) and the projects are genuinely so fun because he lets you do it with your friends. Keep your science notebook organized and ready to go and use your notebook to show to the class cause he will glaze you no joke. The workbooks he gives you aren't very necessary and you don't use them a lot, only in the 2nd semester which is really just wavelengths and some physics/DNA. I personally really enjoyed the astronomy unit ( which he does for basically the whole year), and he doesn't really touch on other topics. His class is definitely a bit harder than Tsang's b/c of the work, but it's really enjoyable and extremely easy to get a high A in. PLEASEE cherish this class because you will NEVER forget it and YOU WILL have the most fun in it as long as you try to have fun. ( note: he's kinda slow at grading and changes due dates A LOT, but it's worth it in the end bc of the extra credit)

Mr. Armstrong is genuinely such a fun and entertaining teacher. He gives you a bunch of stories on his life and uses really weird metaphors to explain things, but other than that he's really fun. His lectures can be boring and he pauses videos a lot to explain, so that could bore you out a bit. When you interact with him and talk to him after class, he will start to like you a lot and glaze you more. This class is for sure NOT an easy A if you don't actually try, so do your work b/c he makes his point scale out of really big numbers (_/150, 0/60) so it will effect your grade tremendously if you don't do your work, but is really easy to make up for in extra credit. For me, he used infinite campus the whole year and not google classroom but he started to use it more often at the end of the year, but it's not all that helpful. Honestly, I LOVED this teacher and I do really miss him because he was really entertaining and told weird stories, but that just made the class more interesting. He's genuinely the ultimate glazer and the best grader bro. Everyone will say how weird and bad he is, and that could be true for some, but he WILL clutch in certain moments. PLEASEE CHERISH HIM HES SO GOATTED!!
