Class of 2028

the class is easy, for stagecraft theres self-evaluations every week and stuff and you get to choose what crew you're on (costumes and makeup, set design, tech director, stage manager, and lights and sound), rehearsals are usually for the leadership roles (tech ds and stage managers ) and the rare times the other crew comes into play are dress rehearsals and the actual show dates. biggest tip here is to have friends if you're gonna sign up for this class, if not MAKE some because it will get boring and lonely. set design is fun but make sure you wear pants you dont care about when painting. drilling is easy, you get the hang of it quickly, pack tweezers and/or a tide pen because you will get splinters and stains. the saw is easy to use, just don't use it while she's not looking and remember the safety goggles. the application for me was really easy but ik she made the application harder so goodluck. tech d is really similar to set design they just lead and tell the groups what to do, help ms Raines with ideas and scenery. from what I know, costumes and makeup is really stressful, lights and sound is where everyone chills and sits in the booth, stage managing needs dedication. the shows are hectic but you do get free leftover snacks in the end, so its not bad. there are around 2-3 plays per year, but take that with a grain of salt bc it changes a lot. overall, just have fun in the class and have friends bc its an easy A and it can get really boring when's ahe doesn't have any work to do
