If you're looking at this review, you're taking either P. E. or weight training. Just don't mess around and you're fine. Simple.

Don't waste your time writing notes, just watch Heimler's History and you'll have enough information to get through the course. As long as you know what you're doing, the SAQ and the multiple choice are going to be pretty easy. The essays are probably going to be the hardest thing in this class, so you should put most of your focus on that.

Do all of the homework, if you need to learn the content, it sucks but you will learn much more from that especially since he is not a great teacher. If you are doing all the homework and not getting it, find a tutor.

In the class, there is little memorization required, and next to no homework. The curriculum is strange, and not in a good way like psych. There is a question at the beginning of each unit, which you will be quizzed on, though never given the answer explicitly. It is very frustrating. The average grade is a D.

Don't be a bad student, otherwise, he'd give you a D even though you completed the homework. If you're a good student, you'll get at least a B. If you're a talented artist and you draw well on the projects, automatic A. That's what I did.

If you are super passionate about filmmaking and actually make videos, then you will pass this class. He literally does not teach and you never know what you're gonna do in class for that day. You have to find a project for yourself and go do it yourself. If he sees that you care for the art of film, then you will get an A.

Memorize scales asap and work on rhythms (Ask for help if needed, you will have your own student mentor, if they’re not available, ask Mr. radant or other teachers or older students because they’re almost always available). The only playing tests are not too difficult, you just need to be able to play your part mostly. Just memorized scales (worked on in class usually) and recitals once per semester. Fall semester the recital is the same for everyone, Spring semester it’s student choice. Communication is very clear, but mostly in class. Check Google classroom and the sanmarcosbands website calendar all the time to be sure you have the schedule down correctly, because performances may not be talked about in class and he might forget to send emails to students really far in advance. The whole schedule for the year is always on the calendar so just use it to your advantage. (I’m probably forgetting some things sorry)
