Speaking as someone who took French 1 this was easily the least stressful class I was in. As long as you do the work which mainly consists of writing activities you will be fine. Absolutely loved this class and how chill it was.

He is a very funny guy and very approachable. Once you get the hang of the rhythm of the class you will do fine. Make sure to study consistently and not cram everything! Honestly such a chill teacher hes a lovely guy

Flores is a teacher who genuinely wants to see students succeed. If you have questions, it would be weird not to ask her, given how approachable she is. For essays, you get to choose one out of two for a grade, which is really generous. A tip would be to look back at other AP exam prompts to practice, but write them in the way that Flores wants you too (given that there are many ways to write an essay). Her grading is a bit harsher than AP grading, but AP grading is basically free anyways. MAKE SURE YOU READ YOUR BOOKS (whether that be the crucible or great gatsby! ).

(in my experience) The bulk of the work is in journals and completing assignments in big ideas. Usually, there is a chapter test every two weeks, and both journals and big ideas assignments are due on that day. Notecards are allowed for every test and most of the test are multiple choice. You are allowed on your computer throughout the period. Retakes are allowed, and she is often free at her desk if you need to ask a question/need help.

Doing homework is essential to do well in the class. Homework counts for, at least, 20% of your overall grade Test questions are almost always the even problems from the book or are modified questions from Chapter reviews. Tests come in a variety of formats such as multiple choice, open response, vocabulary quizzes, etc... Don't be afraid to ask for help. Mr. Kuang is always willing to help you but you must initiate that conversation.

Try to pick up on hints or stuff that he really emphasizes and study that, it will most likely be on a quiz or he will be looking for it as an answer to a quiz/essay--he only looks for one answer despite there being multiple

People say he's hard, but he's really not, as long as you pay attention. Don't be afraid to ask for help! I struggled with it in the beginning, but asking for his help or any of the students that hang-out in his class, is a game changer. His tests are usually pretty straight-forward, he may have a few grammatical errors, but you get used to the phrasing that occurs, and you understand it. He's a sweet and understanding guy, but he definitely doesn't take any BS, so don't try anything with him.

She is a wonderful teacher. Always willing to help you find your answers, host tutoring on her own time for students willing to learn and hang out. Focus and pay attention in her class, do her homework, and she will be one of, if not the best teachers you'll ever have.

The class actually has quite a bit of homework for a non-AP class. Takes much more time than expected, especially if you're also taking other APs that you need more time for. Is a little passive-aggressive, and constantly uses popsicle sticks. He's a okay teacher, and not a preferred one.

Info: I took her math analysis class in 2018-19 - tests/quizzes are worth 70% of the grade (if I remember correctly) - lots of WebAssign problems, you can ask for extensions if you don't finish in time - notes are in the form of fillable worksheets - no projects/group projects - do the study guides, they are similar to the tests and quizzes
