had him for chemistry. amazing lecturer but could class could get boring sometimes (its a given). one of the coolest teachers ever! stay on top of your binders/notebooks because he does do notebook checks (that he warns u about). chemistry can be difficult so ask for help and work with your teammates. he doesn't change seats ever so try to situate urself in the beginning of the year

Chinese (took 3yrs including dl this yr) NOT MATH -pay attention in class, its beneficial in the long run -take advantage of the resources around you -dont try to take shortcuts with penmenship (left to right top to bottom) -DL learning i suggest u copy and paste from slides (saves a lot of time) -Quizlet will be your friend -everything is memorization and speech (speak and practice the language) -if u take intro chinese know that it will really start from the beginning

study your notes and prewrite for as many of the essays as possible, keep your binder organized, keep a set of contextualizations for each time period, use the practice tests on myap, don't waste too much time on making things look good but make it readable, ALWAYS USE PEN

- ALWAYS bring 8. 5 x 11 BINDER paper, not notebook paper, and a black or blue pen. She will give you a zero if you fail to do so especially after the first few weeks - Be respectful and stay on her good side - Find proficient people to group up with for projects - Avoid reading off your note card, she hates that - For US History, make sure to pick interesting topics for your current events, the more interesting it is the more likely she will give you an A. Also consider any questions she may ask you, because if you fail to give her a proper backed up answer she will likely deduct points - USE YOUR READING GUIDES! A lot of test questions are based off of the reading guides - Keep the projects you do in class, they may also appear on the test, especially on the FRQ portion - Make sure to copy EVERYTHING she says down when grading your reading guide and ask her if you have an answer that differs from her, reading guide questions will likely appear on tests and having the wrong answer will of course bring down your test grade. She also has given zeros to people who fail to copy everything down on reading guides - Memorize key dates, battles, and people - Don't take out any devices when working on a worksheet without her permission, she will deduct points or give you a zero if you are caught. Only take it out if she explicitly tells you to or for a project/current events - Listen in class. She has added things she talks about explicitly in class (it's not on the worksheets or Textbook) onto the final exam so it's important you remember what she says - Know the difference between race, ethnicity, and nationality - When talking about "African Americans" use the term Black instead - For the book project outline, make sure it all fits on one side of a paper, and make sure each area of support and examples are only A FEW WORDS! No sentences except for your thesis and final thought or else she will deduct points

The quizzes will most definitely be easy as long as you study. Memorization is key to passing her quizzes; however, there are also quiz corrections if you do poorly on any quiz. If she posts a link to a powerpoint to an upcoming quiz, study the entire thing as the entire powerpoint is all you need to get a 100%. Studying her power points will definitely guarantee a 100% on your quiz.

Use her website, she posts every single notes you guys do in class, and it is very helpful to prepare for tests and quizzes. Also make sure to study her study guides for her tests (no study guides for quizzes) the study guide is almost exactly like the test just different questions, obviously, but whatever is on the study guide will be on the test, and what's not on the study guide wont be on the test.

From my experience, the class is more focused on not messing up as she will find any reason to mark you down without notice. She will also yell at you for the smallest mistakes so your grade is basically dependent on if your a good student

Best class in EV! The course provides you with actual useful knowledge that can be utilized in real-world application. It's an easy A if you simply put in the work and try your best. Don't procrastinate any of your work because each assignment is worth around just 15 minutes maximum. Essays and reflections might take a bit longer, but they truly serve a greater purpose for later down the line. You get to practice many real-world skills in this class while getting a major GPA boost. There's a lot of flexibility in the coursework that works in your favor. You get to pick and choose your deadlines and the rubrics for projects provide plenty of space for creative liberties and self-expression. Amazing class and best teacher ever

Always prepare for tests, which are challenging in my opinion, as most questions are vague and hard to miss when studying. If you do bad on tests, you always have a chance to make them up with projects. This class is VERY project heavy, but he grades them mostly easily. Also, each test always has an essay written portion so prepare for that.

Overall, the class is easy. It's a super fun class and an easy A as long as you stay on top of your work. He accepts late work and is super helpful. Ask if questions or whatever you are wondering about and he will answer it as best as he can.

Chemistry: Always keep on top of your work. You can turn in work late a couple minutes or hours past the due date, but do not turn it in a day late. Half credit will be taken off, which you do not want. 2 or 3 late assignments are really damaging towards your grade if you're aiming for an A. Any points you can get matter. Especially because pop quizzes are frequent, and are more than not, are on topics that haven't been reviewed in class in weeks, so it's not promised that you will do well on them. Even if you did know and understand the material when you were learning it, you may be rusty and have forgotten by the time the pop quiz comes around. Active recall, self study, and staying on top of your work is one of the best things you can do in this class.

- Look up videos on the topic that you're learning about first before anything because it'll help you actually understand the work he gives you. - Have all of the conjugations memorized and do active recall so that you don't have to relearn it everytime you have a test again. Also have all the rules memorized. - Turn in your assignments before the test for it comes or you will receive no credit

Really learn how to play each sport because understanding of the rules comes up a lot in tests. I would also make sure that each week you run, get a better score each time as it will show improvement and most of the time, you'll be graded on participation.

Most of the time he would play videos for us to learn ourselves. However, he is always available for extra help after school and in the learning lounge if necessary. The tests in this class are usually harder than what we practice in class. I would recommend that you study for tests by going beyond the textbook and using practice quizzes online. Homework is usually easy and counts for a minimal part of your grade. He grades projects hard and looks at how much effort you put in, so always make sure to go above and beyond what your classmates do.

Calculus AB: Focus on understanding the concepts rather than just cramming them before a test. This class is really interesting. Homework isn't worth anything, so use it as a practice for the tests. Tests are worth really high in this class so do well and study the notes. Pop quizzes are rare but are worth as much as tests. They only occur when we cover a new chapter or important topic.

Comp/Info Tech: The couse is super easy but tedious. You learn how to use Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. The concepts are very easy to learn if you don't know them. The average student will find this class super easy. There are barely any exams. Mostly projects and assignments.

Speak with intention and do not be afraid to. From what I've seen, people who tend to speak out more do better in this class. Sometimes assignments are due at the end of the period, and it can be very easy to forget and later try to submit it at home, but she's very strict about due dates. Any late assignments will be marked an automatic 0 even if you're 10 minutes late. (I think sometimes a one time exception happens, but that's the only chance you'll get)

-Please do extra studying -Always refer back to your notes and actually ask for help even if you’re only a little bit unsure. -The class will be incredibly discouraging at time but don’t give up and study and review everyday. -on the final do the questions you know 100% first to save time. -Do the practice problems he gives you and ask for help. There’s a good chance he could call on you and not having the work done could be humiliating.

Leadership: Be ready to lead your school! You will do presentations in front of classes and you will volunteer and work games afterschool for hours. The average student will get a B or and A in this class. There is little book work as it is required for this class but it is very easy! I recommend taking this class if you are willing to help your school to make a difference!
