I'm pretty sure that he allows test retakes. A large portion of the year is spent learning about Ancient Rome and there are 2 major projects: a Roman scroll and a less restrictive research paper on a topic of your choosing that was covered throughout the year.

just write notes and read the textbook. his slideshows are very useful too so take notes on that!!!
