Class of 2024
Never in my life, have I ever experienced such a treat as when I entered this class! The teacher was not only great at her job but was also movie star quality & the only great thing about this class. The way she went on, made me think I was watching a 1950s Italian movie directed by Visconti or Fellini. There was so much charm & grace in every session, that the time just flew by. I really just don't know how such a young woman can be so energetic & vivacious at the same time! But in this movie/class, the book was the the villain. It was lousy & the older hardcover editions were better. I believe, it would have been more advantageous to have let this teacher chose the text rather than having had out of touch administrators do so. The teacher's supplemental materials far out paced the the information presented by the text & they were far more beneficial & better thought out. The answers to questions posed by in the text were impossible to find & often incomplete. McGraw Hill Connect, was an absolute joke. The class is almost over & I never was able to use it as I was never able to get it to work. The "info-mercial" was insult to injury as it was vague & contact support never responded. Yes, there were also innumerable problems with Canvas which detracted from the learning process as well. Please let's go back to, "In Class Learning" instead of "Hollywood Squares on line". So, if you enjoy old style classic feature films & want to learn a language at the same time, then look for this class & teacher. You will be glad you did as the class was certainly worth twice the money but be sure to not skip the prerequisite & don't forget the popcorn!
