take notes and take it seriously. you literally cannot blow off the reading and expect an A. it's impossible, and this is coming from a major procrastinator and slacker student who somehow manages to do well in most classes w/out trying. APUSH wasn't one of them, i actually had to put in major effort.

For AP Lang, you will be spending a lot of time on the timed essays; you likely will not read any books until after Ap exams when there's only two weeks left. Essays are graded pretty strictly for this teacher! Other than that, there are weekly vocab quizzes/reading comprehension & grammar quizzes/rhetorical devices quizzes etc.

Regular Bio - Easy class if you listen in class and ask questions to understand concepts, write a study guide before each test, ask lots of questions, if you use the time in class to get work done and listen to lectures you will have little homework/studying outside of class. AP Bio - Listen in class, watch the AP Daily videos, do the practice questions on the AP website, the five steps to a five book is super helpful to review for tests, write a detailed study guide before each exam, questions on quizzes are sometimes repeated on exams so review quizzes when she allows you to

Do the reading! Like actually read the whole material assigned, and stay on track. Also, don't get stressed on the timed essays (which are like 80-90% of assignments and, your finals) just stay calm and do your best.

For AP Lit: The AP exam style essays are basically your grade, and everything else is very easy if you can fight through the senioritis. Plus he does actually prepare you for the exam (somehow) For 10H: Pretty fun and free class, he's probably the best teacher at CCA for 10H iirc

She is my 12th grade teacher and she is super nice. She assigns a good amount of work, but she makes class fun. For instance, we watched a podcast and had to do work that she made from the podcast. She also is very understanding and helps us if we get behind by letting come by after school. You do have to pay attention to not get behind but you won’t have a problem paying attention because the class is usually fun. She’s early 30s, so she can kinda relate with us and doesn’t overwhelm us. Overall I really like this class and I’m sad this quarter is ending.

I had Mrs. Melkonian for AP World and I had a good experience. The class is chill and Mrs. Melkonian is a fair teacher since she emphasises more on whether we are learning the material rather than the exams. If you read the chapters, study, take notes, actively engage, and complete all the coursework by the due dates (usually on the day of the unit tests), you will do great! (:

the class is honestly pretty easy and you should consider yourself lucky to get myers, she is a very nice and easy-going teacher, and getting 100% on the projects and assignments is easy as long as you meet the requirements and turn them in on time. the pop reading quizzes can be a bit tricky but as long as you do well in the roots tests you will be fine. last and most important thing, during the timed writes ANSWER THE PROMPT, so many people stray from the prompt and lose a ton of points, she mainly grades on ur thesis and how well u answered the prompt

It's PE, there's not much to say here. Mr Mikkonen is the best PE teacher I've had, he's very fun and he doesn't make you do a whole bunch of pointless stuff. That said, health units are still a pain and are just purely memorization, but you can do a lot off of just logic on those quizzes.

Make sure to practice the orals in front of a mirror to help build confidence; even though Sanchez is incredibly harsh about the orals and is quite openly judgmental, DO NOT LET IT GET TO YOU!!! Confidence is key, and as long as you sound confident, it’ll be okay. Make sure to diligently study for all quizzes as well, and be wary of accent marks because points WILL be docked for incorrect/missing accent marks.

I dont know if it was just me, but I struggled in shakeris class, listen to the best of your abilities in class, watch videos on the topics covered, and try not to stress abt the quizzes and tests too much, I had him for honors chem.

My advice for this class is to work hard, study A LOT, and PAY ATTENTION. You will learn a lot in this class, but don't expect it to be easy at all. In fact, Mrs. Takano's regular French classes are even harder than some of the AP classes I have taken. It isn't uncommon for mostly A students who take honors or AP classes to actually earn a C for a quarter. The Positives: Mrs. Takano is very passionate about teaching French to students. She is very energetic, which helps keep the class entertaining. Additionally, she is very organized as she knows what she is doing and when she must do stuff. Also, she posts a calendar at the beginning of the quarter to help us know when there are quizzes, tests, or other work. The Negatives: Her class is hard, in some ways too hard for many people to earn an A. With so many things we do in her class, it can be overwhelming. We even have done classwork in the last 5 minutes of class and some of them maybe due by the end of the class when the bell rings. Additionally, she is a little strict (in my opinion), due to being a little harsh on grading some assignments and takes effort, participation and engagement VERY SERIOUSLY. Another warning I have is her class is very student directed as she is in complete control and expects obedience. Overall, it's a good class, but it is overwhelming. French is a beautiful language, but I 'm stopping after French 4 because it's only going to get progressively harder, even though I'm a francophile. But if its easy for you and you love it, then take it up to AP, but if you can't, then I suggest stopping at French 3, like the majority of people.

I had travasos for 9th grade h last semester and shes the nicest teacher ever, can't speak for AP lang, if you get her for 9 honors, read the book, and prepare for easier essays compared to other teachers.
