Ms. Dagen is super nice and she's always available for extra help. ASK A LOT OF QUESTIONS!!! She will explain in-depth how you can improve your writing and it's definitely what got me through the class. She gives you some choice in what you read, and all the books we read are super interesting and fun to read. She also REALLY prepares you for the AP Lang AP exam. AP Lang is very worth taking. It's difficult but worth it. You develop so much better writing skills that will be really helpful for college, and any classes or activities you go into. My writing has improved so much and although it was frustrating at times, I'm so happy I took it. Five stars for sure.

For pop quizzes and book tests you pretty much have to memorize every single useless detail to get higher than a B Even if you don't do well in exams or essays, if you follow directions and turn in all the homework or assignments, you will end up with a decent grade

Doing all of the readings is obvious but participate in discussions. The grading is unbelievably hard so remember to keep asking questions. Asking questions is legit more likely to improve your grade than actually improving your writing for some reason. Don't get bummed out if you get Fs on tests, it is pretty common.
