Don’t worry about the pop quizzes he talks about a lot, they will be few and far between. You’ll have a few tests in 7th grade, and the first semester of 8th, but I don’t remember a single test in the second semester of eighth grade. The U. N. will completely carry your second semester grade.

Mr. Graham will tell you that the JUN cannot be done in two days. This is only partially true. If you do the outline throughout the time you are given and leave the rest for the last two nights you won’t really have a problem. The I. D terms can be three to 7 lines long and you will still get 100 percent for them. It is honestly hard to find someone who didn’t get 500/500 on the JUN. This is not the case for the UN, though. He actually grades them pretty thoroughly. You will have to spend a long time on the topic, so make sure you choose something you REALLY like. Doing it on wars can get boring after a while, so don’t be afraid to choose something you will enjoy. The more you enjoy the topic you chose, the less likely you are to procrastinate, so I cannot stress this point enough. Everyone who tried got an A on it, but 100 percents were more rare. Also, when choosing topics, make sure there are a lot of sources to go off of, so making outlines are easy. I can’t remember a single test that we took in the second semester of eighth grade, so don’t worry too much about note taking. This is probably the easiest class to get an A in, so don’t worry too much about this one.
