Mr. Barrett was probably one of the best teachers I have ever had. He is so respectful to students and understands how everyone has things going on in their lives. Don't be afraid to reach out and ask for an extension, he will 10/10 always give it to you. He is very laid back when it comes to late work, but don't take advantage of it. The class itself, I had him for AP Environmental Science, was fairly easy in the first semester, but the second was a bit difficult when it came to the material. Make sure you pay attention and do your work, and you will for sure be fine. The concepts are easy, you just have to spend time to try to learn them. I ended the class with an A+ and it was one of the most interesting and fun classes I ever took.

Biology: Make sure to finish all of the homework packets. It might seem petty, but it's a completion grade and it helps raise your overall grade for the class. The final for first semester is a project and it's not difficult. Get your research done on time and make your research thorough and accurate. Basically, just do a lot of research. It's pretty difficult to fail the final. He also gives extra credit and if you're not confident in getting on A on it, do it. I recommend reading over the notes you take in class and read the textbook as well to study for the tests. You don't get many tests in first semester. Second semester is a bit harder. You need to study harder and the final exam will be a test, not a project. Mr. Barrett is fair and really nice. Please don't talk too much during class and don't talk over him. He really respects his students so you should be respectful towards him too. Also, don't be afraid to ask any questions.
