Pay attention to in-class cues—some test material isn’t posted. Use tech tools wisely; they’re allowed but not always guided. Keep track of grading weights—they’re mentioned but not always reinforced.

Easy to get an A if you just study vocab and definitions, and put a little effort into your writing and projects. Dehorn is chill so long as you give her some respect.

Focus on understanding key concepts early — especially economic models and terminology. Review class notes weekly and ask questions when unsure. Don’t rely solely on posted materials.

Stay on top of readings—class discussions often assume prior understanding. Essays carry weight; clarity and structure matter. Ask for clarification early—Instructor Mazzaferro respects initiative.

Do be sure not to fall behind on workload too early otherwise the catchup will be insane. She assigns new work almost every class save for when there are large projects due the following day. Try to stay ahead of participation, and take all extra credit opportunities given--they'll buffer your grade when she hands out a couple tough grades. Do not!! skimp on the minor assignments and try buffer your grade for the big assignments. Otherwise, considering that you complete work on time and without missing work, as long as you participate a decent amount, you should be set. Also, she offers a lot of past examples and references for large assignments, so don't forget to check those! Good luck!

Stay organized with your tech roles and cues. Ask questions early, especially during setup days. Don’t overlook the MLA critique — it’s the one formal writing piece that counts.
