Be prepared for the essays; focus on QUALITY not QUANTITY. She values analysis and points out logical fallacies which tend to be very common. Review what you read in class since there may be a Pop Quiz. Create sentences having no context ambiguity. Behave well and participate often; she will be nicer to you on essays. Small things like asking to bring down a paper or being the first ones in class ready could earn your group points, which can earn you a commendation. Commendations can add 10% to an assignment.

Overall, don't be too stressed out about her class. It was very fun, and I greatly improved my writing and comprehension. As long as you have a good work ethic, you should do fine.
