The most important thing I can say is USE THE PRACTICE TESTS TO STUDY. The teacher says that it's better to study the textbook but she wholly bases future tests on the previous ones. Also, she gives you the answers to the homework assignments so as long as you actually do the homework before checking your answers you should do fine in the class.

Leave the class, it is impossible to know what you are supposed to be doing in the class with terrible instructions and bad jokes being thrown around constantly.

He’s super available to help out but you definitely have to ask so don’t be afraid to do that! And he knows what you’re capable of and WILL push you to achieve it. He’s also very understanding if you’re having personal issues at home etc. just reach out, communication is big! Overall great guy and great class, love the gpa based grading system he has! Take notes and pay attention in class and you’ll be great, Ill

There is no other music teachers here, these points are to help determine whether you want to know the workload, commitment, and structure of this class. If you want to see improvement with playing an instrument especially if you're new, PRACTICE like having homework everyday for 1-2 hours. If you don't it really shows in this class especially for next point. Both finals are performing in front of the entire class (can request to do it only in front of her and to reschedule if sick, she's lenient about that) The tradeoff of 2 years of PE vs 4 years of music is only worth it if you're committed, do NOT join if you aren't intending to stay as band heavily relies on connecting with other students. Starting in spring the class includes having to do weekly online music theory assessments that are lengthy, but graded more on completion. Most parades and football events in fall take up 4-5 hours each and there's at least 6 of them before December, a couple events Purchase your own required instrument maintenance, marching lyres, and textbook. Currently with COVID you must also buy mask with flap and instrument bell cover (tuba, trombone, french horn, saxophone, etc similar)

I had the pleasure of taking Srta. M’s (pronounced Señorita Eme) Spanish 3 and AP Spanish class. Her teaching style is detailed, her curriculum is engaging, and she has a strong knowledge of her subject matter. Her attentive support helped me apply grammar concepts to practical usage and improve my speaking abilities. She gives valuable feedback and truly cares about her students’ well-being. Tests can be expected about once a month, and she offers plenty of opportunities for extra credit, including participation. She is also usually available during FLEX if you need help, or simply want to talk to her about your progress. I would highly recommend Srta. M as a teacher; she helped me grow significantly as a language learner.

It was my pleasure to take Sr. Pierce for Spanish 2. His lectures are highly organized and he effectively engages his students with a great sense of humor. He also takes his time to explain the logistics of grammar concepts, which greatly improved my understanding and helped me succeed in the class. He encourages his students to take advantage of FLEX tutoring for extra credit, and he is often available for help. Short tests can be expected every week or two, and he offers class retakes if the average is low. Graded homework and projects are assigned frequently, but he always offers his support and gives plenty of class time to complete them. Sr. Pierce evolved the way I grasped Spanish, and I would highly recommend him as a teacher.

Read her syllabus thoroughly, and do not trust any policy she states verbally, as she does not stick to her word. Tests in AP Physics C can include any material in AP Physics 1, even if she never taught it. She will test on the material, even if it isn't covered in class, and doesn't answer questions often. I recommend self-studying the material even after she teaches in class and using the AP classroom to prepare and understand upcoming material.

For ENGLISH 9 HONORS (NOT ELD) (Long review): 1. There are a LOT of notes done as homework. For each book, expect its corresponding notes to be above 25-30 pages long. 2. Notes are complex and color-coded, but Ms. Reynolds will teach you the process 3. If you are struggling in her class or on the reading, please please go to her class often for Husky/ Flex Period. There's NO shame to getting help from her. She's not gonna watch you or shame you for asking a lot of questions. I wouldn't have gotten an A in her class without asking her a bunch of questions. 4. LOTS of reading. First quarter, you will be reading a bunch of short poems, essays from professionals, and short stories. 2nd quarter, you will be reading Romeo and Juliet and a chunk of another book (for me it was To Kill a Mockingbird). 3rd quarter, you will be reading the remainder of the book the class started in 2nd quarter and another book (for me it was Great Expectations) 4th, you'll read 1 to 2 more books. 5. Procrastination is such a temptation in this class. Even tryhards will constantly be tempted. 6. You can use Sparknotes or something like that to review for her tests. I have asked Ms. Reynolds and she said I could. 7. Memorize the key points, main themes, etc for each text. 8. You will write 3 long, non-exam essays in her class, but you get to peer-review a lot. 9. You will suffer

His class is interesting, and you don't need to stress out as long as you pay attention in his lectures and do the work he assigns, which is very little.

He gives pretty thorough explanations during class, and is a good teacher overall. The tests are somewhat tricky, but just be sure to approach the "hard" problems knowing that they can be solved using only what you have learned in class even if they don't seem like they can. For group tests, either sit with smart kids or if you are a smart kid just sit with whoever. Do not stress out about the final, it is pretty straightforward and all multiple choice. He really doesn't test many theorems or obscure concepts on the final, but if you think it's necessary, spend time creating the note card he allows you to use.

She assigns a lot of worksheets, but just try to get all the work she assigns done in class since most of it can be completed in 10-20 minutes. The tests are not that hard, and most of the concepts are easy to remember. As long as you legitimately complete the work she assigns, you shouldn't need to study for the test, but if you don't focus while doing the worksheets, just search online for a quizlet study set and you should be fine.
