You will need to pay attention and ask appropriate questions that you actually don't know. A lot of the test will be derived from hw questions. Make sure to follow hw instructions to get 100%. A lot of questions for review will be repetitive, but they are great for you to actually practice and succeed the AP Test.

For math HL: If you've done well enough this far to even be able to take the course, you'll do fine. Tests have a big curve and all the lessons are pretty easy/straightforward, but may take a lot of practice to dial in completely. Material is almost entirely review of previous years, but on a higher level (as the name implies).

Memorize your events. You are basically teaching yourself APUSH because the teacher won't teach. If you don't know the specific format for the free response sections of the AP history exams, LEARN IT. The guidelines are strict. But, once you learn how to write your free responses, everything else will be alright.

I took her English 3H/IB HL 1 class and it was the best and coolest English class I’ve ever taken. Unlike English 1H and 2H at DBHS, the main focus of the class is perception and viewing literature at different angles/view points. I have to admit the workload for first semester is a lot more compared to 1H or 2H but second semester has very minimal work. However the topics taught in the first semester is crucial to be successful for the second semester. If you are an IB student, you will have to do extra work but she is very lenient with deadlines. Overall the class was very fast paced and lots of reading but if you just turn in your work, A should be no problem.

Focus on key events and general topics that will be conveyed on the AP Exam (aka evolution of treatment and roles of women). Ask a lot of questions and participate in the group discussions and projects. They will ultimately really help with preparing for the AP Exam. Also, do NOT wait till the last minute to study for the AP test. Make sure to manage your time well because the workload is a bit high, but maybe average for an AP class.

-study vocab every day -don't be afraid to volunteer -she's always available to help & she really cares for our education so don't be afraid to ask questions :) if you're still iffy about continuing/taking this class, i deeply recommend it. she's understanding and will help you if you're struggling. trust me, it will become easier once you get used to it
