Homework is basically worthless in terms of points, focus on tests. It's fine if you can't finish your homework just make sure you are ready for tests.

Mrs. Miller is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She is always willing to help if you don't understand something. She made us do a lot of interesting projects, which helped increase my understanding of the concepts we had learned, Just remember to always do your homework, because it is an important part of your grade, and it really helps you prepare for the tests. All her students are really lucky to be in her class. Good luck in 8th grade!

Don't be afraid to ask for help during lunch since Mrs. Miller will be more than happy to see that you care about understanding the lesson better. Also, it is better to get help when you need It because material from previous units are usually carried onto the next one.
