NOT an intro class even though it's literally labeled "Intro to Java" (complete self study). He doesn't show you your grade till the end of the semester. I never knew what I got wrong on exams because he refused to let me see them or go over them with me if it's been more than a day since we took it. The final GUI project is based on how much HE likes it, so you're basically cooked because some kids have more experience and he didn't even have a rubric, he pulled those grades based on his likings. I still don't know what he gave me because your grade book will never be updated and his grading system is based on curving the whole class, so again, you never know what you actually got on the test.

Go over his slides and you'll be just about fine. Textbook is supplementary and I wouldn't advise centering all your practice on that. Some topics are exclusively taught by Mr. Kim. Practice a lot and it will be okay for the most part.
