I had Ms. Bear for English III H (she now teaches AP Lang I believe), so my experience may only apply to honors. In terms of difficulty, the class isn't too bad, just do the busy work and stay on her good side. She has a good vibe (most of the time) and a nice sense of humor. Did I enjoy the class? Not quite, because of the essays. When it comes to writing essays, you might never get what Ms. Bear desires. Her grading is subjective, so don't be discouraged and thinking of yourself as a bad essay writer if you bombed her essay. Yet don't stress, since the amount of extra credit she gave plus the cumulated assignments would balance those out. Out of all the essays, I was only granted one passing grade on my last one, but I still managed to achieve one of the highest grade in her class. Despite that, she refused to put me in AP Lit at the end of the year, because my "composition skill is not competent". Guess what, I got into the class and got a 4 on the AP exam, so take that.
