PLEASE TAKE NOTES AND DO THE HOMEWORK WHEN IT IS ASSIGNED!! I took CP US History, and the homework packets were extremely stressful. If I were to go back and do the class again, I would take advantage of the fact that all of the homework from that unit is due at the same time. Have good time management in this class, and study the slides and your notes.

Listen to rules and you'll be good. As usual, take notes because it'll be helpful when you're studying for the tests and he's not posting powerpoint slides at all in google classroom.

He’s pretty cool teacher to have, and he is very passionate about history overall. Had him for CP U. S. History, and honestly even if I don’t like history in general, it was good class to have. Make sure to follow the directions and do your work on time. The assignments for each unit is due on the test day, so you can technically procrastinate and do everything last minute. However, I won’t recommend doing that because there’s usually a lot of assignments to do and you will regret it if you decide to do all of them in one night. I did it once for the essays and got really exhausted. His test is not necessarily hard, but it can be challenging if you don’t go over your notes and study. Reread the notes and go over terms from the ID’s (optional unit vocab term list), as most of his test questions are from them. At least review the terms from the ID’s. Doing ID’s can save you a lot too as it gives you 15 point extra credit. Please just do your work and listen to his lectures & take notes, you will be fine.

Mr. Stecher is extremely unforgiving. I personally was failed after being refused to make up a homework packet and test due to absence, but otherwise he was a good teacher. Besides his bias for students often showing during class, he explains the topics in depth and is an overall good teacher.
