As long as you understand concepts for AP Statistics, you will do well. Don’t rely on memorization because a lot of materials are interconnected so you will have to refer back to them later on.

Tests and quizzes account for almost your entire grade. He doesn't check homework that thoroughly, but it is important that you know how to do it or else the tests will be difficult.

Teacher makes it hard for you to feel comfortable talking to him and asking for help. His in class behavior is odd and borderline disrespectful at times. Recommendation: get a good study group filled with smart people so you won’t feel overwhelmed.

Ask thoughtful questions regarding material you don't understand. You should pinpoint exactly what you don't understand or else he will be frustrated. The main reason he has a tendency to call on certain people is due to how they perform/act in class. If you ask questions and participate in class from time to time he will actually like you and won't call on you randomly.
