Mr. Osberg lets you play your own cards. His laid-back approach to teaching is comparable to rock climbing without a safety rope: You'll take note of details you wouldn't note in a less elevated state. He will not pester you with emotions if you don't do your work; he'll let the grade explain it. He'll even go as far as to say today's assignments are boring. And yet here I am with a positive rating, because his ostensible lack of effort in his own class is in fact humility that encourages students to pick up the slack, and his saftey-ropeless approach teaches students to stand on their own feet.
