Mr. Whetten works hard to make class engaging and interesting for his students. On top of that, he goes out of his way to make us feel heard and looked after.

Whetten is THE BEST teacher to ever grace this earth! I had never met a teacher who’s so caring and enthusiastic until I met him. He is always fair, he doesn’t favor one student over another. He treats everyone with kindness and respect, and he wants all students to succeed. I even continued taking Economics classes in college because I enjoyed his class so much. Post-graduation, he continues to be an amazing mentor and role model, and I am so glad to have been one of his students.

One of my favorite teachers during high school! You can tell he cares about his job and students and is always there for them no matter what’s going on!

Mr. Whetten is easily the best teacher I have ever had. I am currently a junior in college and have had plenty of teachers and I would still rate him top 3. He truly cares about his job and cares about the students. My favorite thing would be do go to his classroom during lunch any time I was feeling sad and there would always be other kids in there, with games, laughter and cool stories from Mr. Whetten. His wall of students that have fallen asleep during class is hilarious and creative and I actually made it up on the wall lol! Anyone who gets Mr. Whetten as a teacher is extremely lucky and will remember him forever.
