There is often no need to submit most homework since he checks whether you did it or not through in-class evaluation (quizzes, exams, etc. ), of which the date is told at least a week in advance. This encourages a learning attitude instead of one centred around solely passing or attaining a certain mark. In his courses (such as calculus I and II), you must learn the material and become familiar with the intricacies as opposed to simply memorizing a set of formulae.
