If you remember the entire study guide for the term exams, then you can get away with barely reading the books (as long as you get okay grades on the tests)
read the book
Take the work seriously and use the time allotted in class wisely. Study the material closely, read the books and always close the leads you're given.
I remember walking into his class for the first time with this sense of fear, because I had heard only the negative things about his class. However, a few minutes in the class I realized that he wasn't so bad after all. Cut to the middle of that year, and he's practically become one of the best teachers in school. Cut to the beginning of this school year (2021), and I was looking forward to English class every day. Admittedly, reciting 'The Love Ballad of J. Alfred Prufrock' in front of the entire class is a bit nerve-racking, but he made it a fun experience to live nonetheless. Every single one of his so-called lectures are things I look forward to practically more than the exam itself. In short; he's an excellent teacher and force not to be messed with.
Overall, this teacher is the most influential in my whole secondary school experience. Amongst students, he is often a topic of discussion. Some don't like him and some love him as a teacher. You can see he loves his job. He made me like English class again after a terrible and boring experience in primary school.
