Do the course pack as you learn. If you're taking chemistry in pre-U you won't be required to do any "homework" but it is your responsability to keep up with the work.

Mr. Z is one of the most caring teachers. He might seem a little intimidating at the beginning of the year but he's very sweet and always willing to help. I took his advanced chem and ESS class and he teaches differently in both. Keep up with the workload and when he mentions that he recommends you understand something very well, it will be on tests and exams.
