The courses are not about memorizing theory but about understanding core concepts and applying them directly in class via mini timed exercises, live examples and through course assignments. The main keys to be successful in the course are participation, asking questions and being curious and do the exercises and examples provided.

Proffessor Wood is an excellent teacher, who is both adept at guiding step by step learning for those who are beginning in programming and also challenging those students who are more advanced. He truly cares about his students engagement in the subject and is good at communicating both his passion and knowledge of software development. He prepares clear, easy to understand multimedia content with good examples and exercises. His classes provide much more information, both practical and theoretical, than what is typically received in entry-level courses. He is very available and responsive to helping students who need assistance and at building their confidence in their new-found skills. Whether you are a beginner or more than that, you will definitely end the course having acquired a lot of valuable knowledge. I had the pleasure of being in two of his classes and happily recommend taking them and others he teaches.
