As long as you complete the assignments on time, participate in class, and are kind to him you will do well. He is one of my most favourite teachers. Such a kind heart.

If you are taking academic science, you should probably take notes. As well, make sure to do the practice sheets and ask lots of questions.

Tests are very difficult, definitely exam level. the match ups will get you every time. Assignments are fun and easy, very creativity based. Modica is a very charismatic and engaging teacher who cares for every student. 10/10 would definitely take her class again.

You should do your work for certain. He's a sneaky teacher, and won't tell you when something like a small assignment will be due or even if you'll be handing that thing in or not. Just when he is done the work periods for it and in his documents on what will be happening the next day does not include a work period for that assignment, there is a 50% chance that he will give the class 5 minutes to hand in the assignment via Google Classroom and close the submission afterwards. Don't ask him a lot of questions outside of when he finishes explaining something and he asks for question period, and only then questions that he 100% did not answer to the slightest extent in his own talking. And don't EVER go to the washroom or ask. If you're the type to have to go often, plan it beforehand and go in previous classes or lunch right before the class. And to my experience, he may get annoyed at people greeting him and saying good morning sir, or saying bye like have a good lunch, so best not do that. Now if you follow all these rules, he won't develop a negative opinion of you, and you will not get satisfactory in your report card thing. (We have not observed him giving an excellent as of yet. ) And for the assignments themselves, they're pretty long, but it's just writing so as long as it's formal, clearly follows formatting (times new roman size 12, indented, and his specified line spacing, he is very particular of this).
