try to work as fast as possible. she gets talking about her sons at the beginning of class, and although it genuinely makes me happy how much she loves them she ends up talking for half the class and still expects you to finish the work assigned for an entire period. there are a ton of group projects and you will be marked on how well you worked in your group. this includes doing all the work and leaving none for everyone else. it has to be balanced for you to get a good grade in collaboration. even if you do really well on tests you still need to participate in class to get a good grade. i was horrible at involving myself with others but got high nineties on all the tests and my end grade was mid 80’s in math. she will let you stay in with her every lunch she doesn’t have a club or duty and teach you anything you don’t understand. she is the reason i get high grades in math now, i stayed in a lot at lunch to get help and i went from a kid who got high 70’s in math to a kid who still gets high 90’s in highschool math.
