Ask him what he would like from you and take in his feedback even if you disagree with it, he'll always take the time to help you improve your writing and take the time to explain things to you. He loves to hear people's opinions and debate them. He goes by the textbook quite alot but it's actually not a bad resource and he'll add examples where he feels necessary. Try to get your papers in early so he can mark it and you can correct it and resubmit.

Mr Haughton is rather picky on how he likes your process work to be presented. He wants a large collection of references with extensive notes and mock ups before the final drawing. His preferred presentation method is a sketchbook that includes all of these notes and references. He also wants you to include artists you reference and notes on them and why you like them. You get alot of time to do your work so as long as you're not goofing off you'll have time to finish your assignments in class. Always ask him what he's looking for as he'll show you lots of examples he likes.

I took her senior graphics class. There's alot of fun projects and opportunities to explore different mediums in this class. There's very few "boring" projects and most revolve around your interests. For example a screen printing project with a vague theme so you can focus on somthing you're already interested in.
