- Start assignments as soon as you get them! - Take notes based on your understanding, rather than what is being said/from the slides - ASK QUESTIONS! - Study for all the tests beforehand, and go to him during lunch to clarify questions (he will help 99% of the time) - Have a good learning attitude, and you'll do great, and do not listen to what negative things are said about his classes. - Tests are hard, but most of the content is from the textbook as well as the slides. Do as many practice questions as you can. - Make the effort to let him get to know you as a student, because he's genuinely a very funny and caring individual.

Had Menes for grade 11 biology and his class is very good. He teaches you everything you need to know and spends time re-explaining if need be. His tests are hard and application kills you but gets you thinking. You have to really know your stuff to do well.

Menes is an amazing teacher and don't let any students tell you otherwise! It's really easy to do well and pass in his class as long as you lock in and get your work done. Even if you don't do well on tests, he gives many assignments that let you bring your grade up. You'll do great if you have a good attitude and try your best.
