First of all, random websites, links, and material is posted on the classroom randomly, without any explanation or elaboration on what you should do. So, try to do these by just doing something such as if it is a text, paraphrase it. These material will be posted randomly, mostly daily, so try to check everyday at home. Second of all, do NOT try to be off task in the class, or else you will be embarrassed and scolded harshly. The teacher has a very keen eye and will call people up randomly if the person is on their computer. Third of all, Mme Minsky is very forgetful about tasks and tests, but just complete them anyways just in case. Fourth of all, there is a mini test every week so be ready and memorize conjugations and words. Finally, be ready with paper and the POSSIBLE material for the class, since Mme Minsky doesn't like people writing on computers. Expect the unexpected.
Class of 2025
You have to know French, including grammar and different words. Never talk back, always listen to her. She will sometimes forget assignments. She is pretty chill if you act well. She also has dictees (mini French tests) every week. Its pretty fun, sometimes we get to watch movies and not do work.

- Good speaking and listening skills required, some activities are listening & then writing a reflection. - From what I hear about other teacher, seems like this teacher has higher expectations than other French teachers. - There is weekly test, if you are coming to this school for first time and in her class, expect a weekly test - Oh, and v hard to get away with sneaky things under her. No cheating / getting away with stuff in her class. - Get on her good side. It's terrible if you get on her bad side.

Overall, good teacher if you want to get good grades in high school French. Prepares you well. Not my favorite teacher because personally I don't enjoy the strict and tension-ing atmosphere in her class, but good grades in high school are almost guaranteed.

Give this class a fair chance. Madame seems harsh but she’s a very good teacher if you make an effort.
