I only took his grade 12 classes but always practice your writing skills. These grade 12 classes are not about "how long can I make my essay" but rather how can I make my point clear and precise in the LEAST amount of words. Analytical paragraphs in both Mr. Jordans Grade 12 English class and Grade 12 Religions class (the ones I took with him) will become your BESTFRIEND!!! He does test reviews, but you need to STUDY them. Most test questions are half multiple choice, half analytical paragraph based upon a poem/short story.

Mr. Jordan is the teacher, nobody can forget. I will fair warn you for any grade 12 English students. He is a challenging teacher and a hard marker for good reason. He WILL prepare you for university/college. But do not worry, your hard work will come worthly later in life. I have NEVER heard a single judgment from Mr. Jordan before, even when I did poorly on tests or on assignments. If anything he is considerate, and will likely ask you if you are in need of extra support or second chances for tests. There are definitely teachers that I wouldn't go up to if I had any problems, whether it's schoolwork or personal. Although Mr. Jordan is an exception. He is the kind of person anyone could go to at any time of the day (except when he's teaching of course) and ask for help. If I had some issues at home, that may have affected my schooling he was forgiving, and helpful if needed. I have no issues going to him for extra support, he is normally in his classroom during lunches and in the morning, and is always happy to help. My most memorable thing about Mr. Jordan aside from his teaching was his calm personality. Most teachers come in all sophisticated and hard, not this teacher. Rather Mr. Jordan would join us all together by saying "good morning everyone" in the softest way ever. He doesn't slam textbooks or yells across the room to stop people from talking but rather invites everyone in for discussions. He does keep the room a bit darker than most teachers, but it's for the projector and other positive reasons. Don't worry, you won't fall asleep in his class. If you are a fond reader like myself and like to read books about new perspectives, ask Mr. Jordan for book recommendations. I spent the first year of COVID-19 (yr. 2020) borrowing books from his classroom shelves. He is a reader at heart and has a million books for you to read for fun. Oh and ask to read "The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho" if you can. He may remember me. (: In general, he is the teacher who will challenge you, he will mark you hard, but most importantly he will prepare you for life of potential.
