If you're taking creative writing, try to use this class to learn the basics of writing and how to write well. Try out your more experimental ideas at home, and leave this class for more fundamental-building. As long as you do your work you should be okay - you can't get easy marks here, though.

Mr. Culham is pretty quiet and not a very modern man, but he is very calm and isn't strongly bothered by students' behaviour. He should be pretty accommodating, but he will not mark easily - you will find that he will mark you at exactly where your skill level is, and if you want perfect marks, get ready to provide perfect work. If you don't want to stay focused during class, that's fine, just make sure you have your work finished when the deadline comes around.
