Practice! Teachers emphasize this, especially in a course like accounting. Look at things carefully, because tiny mistakes can disrupt the whole process of applying the accounting cycle. There are very few formulas, but make sure you have them memorized. Test material is almost always reviewed in class, so pay attention! Do your homework, it's not much at all. Be organized as well, especially in a class like accounting, where you can fall behind pretty quickly.

A really good teacher! He's really chill about everything and will teach you, but sometimes he glosses over things that may not seem prevalent, but do appear on the exam, so if you're confused on something, ask anytime. He absolutely will bump you up on your tests (gives you "sympathy marks"), just be a good student. He doesn't care that much about homework; you can get away with not doing it, but he does make it clear that not doing it will really only impact your own grade. He always points out which questions will be on tests and how you should practice those specific questions. They're mostly multiple-choice and short answers. He does do in-class examples as well and ensures that everyone understands the main parts of the respective unit. He is a really good teacher, just do the homework, participate (if you want, this isn't marked), and try your best.
