He is a nice person and he is an interesting and knowledgeable teacher. If you want to do well in his class, beware of the essay writing style he wants. He does have high standards for his class so that's why he can be really strict when it comes to marking. Rather than just reading the books he gives you, you need to have a deep understanding of them. You need to analyze all the time! Go beyond the plot of the books and look at the unsaid aspects of the works. Have fun!
