- review everything you do in your labs, they’re oftentimes up to 50% of the test questions (so also focus more and care more about the labs), especially hydrates and titration - for unti 1/2 draw diagrams before writing and keep your explanations consise but still backed with good evidence - always listen in class, sometimes test material is based on what she says (unit 3 short answer on ppt bs aq) - read the rubric for unit 4 before doing it (spectator ions, no double ppt, low vs no solubility)

Tests are usually 4 pages long so you'll have to spend 80 minutes on 4 pages during a test. The last page is usually the hardest for most people, as it combines the ideas of the entirety of that unit into one question. Make sure to manage your time AND ABSOLUTELY SHOW ALL YOUR WORK. My friends and I have lost a lot of marks because we haven't shown our work and looking back, I wish I did, could've saved an easy 10% on tests. MAKE SURE TO DOUBLE CHECK TOO

Keep constant note of current discussions, since you will be asked to reference current events and case studies on tests and exam. Study ahead if notes are posted in class, he will not go through the notes but he gives bonus marks if you are capable of connecting a discussion to the notes.

do not, i repeat, DO NOT go on phones. I get the impression Hillier takes it as very disrespectful and will call you out in front of the class. Also to be noted, during a presentation DO NOT use your phone as a script. you will loose significant marks. If you are using a piece of paper, ensure they are cut up to resemble a cue card.

Ask him questions, he always answer them and is extremely knowledgeable. He also responds to emails super quick. With his labs, make sure to do them a couple days before they are due so you can ask questions in person, asking questions is the single best thing you can do to perform better in his class.

You will do well if u finish every single homework she assigns you. She looks at emails but just won't respond sometimes. She gives a lot of handouts in math. The math tests are mainly the practice sheets and homework you do, and a written response checking your understanding. When studying for her tests, just make sure you go over all materials she gives you. The tests and quizzes will be closely related to those.

Just do well on the tests. There isn't really much difficulty as long as you are willing to learn and are able to memorize some elements of the course. The best part is the summative, as you'll get to make (almost) anything you want and you'll likely get a good grade for it (if you put in the effort). Some other key things: - Study with others, maybe make a discord server for it - Make sure to complete all your assignments (or they'll pile up incredibly fast) - Don't stress the course. Compared to English, its EZ.

you’re not given a lot of homework but when you are given homework make sure you do it cuz it’s important for tests etc. also you don’t need to memorize presentations but you have to know the material that you’re talking about.
