This teacher wants to see students succeed, wants to raise classes that will "heal this world". I believe the teacher does the most in her power to truly see that happen, and has a beautiful passion for her craft and what she teaches. She teaches in the style of a "midwife" who helps guide students own ideas, leaving behind a "gardener" philosophy that helps grow ideas into them (much more laborious and connected). I feel bad, though, I'm sure the kids aren't what they used to be like years ago and each new cohort grows deeper into the abyss that is generative ai and 'the online', but the teacher is doing her best to navigate it with an open mind. Many of her students care more about gaining her respect than doing good in the course, which are not as connected as you may think. If you ever happen to fall under suspicions or issues relating to integrity just know that you will have permanently damaged your working relationship with this teacher and that the rest of the IB teachers will come to find out, regardless of your context. This teacher is often, "on-stage" when it pertains to classroom interaction which makes it very confusing to sort between compliments and passive-aggressive comments. However, I suspect this is intentional because the teacher wants to see if you can handle it while not being a "boo-boo baby". Most will either love or hate this teacher, and aside from a few carefully curated favorite students, I believe that this teacher has experienced the emotional burden of caring for so many kinds of students over the years that she remains impartial to you after you have left. Regardless, it must be mentioned that the teacher is at least very professional, which even I have to say is difficult. Just care, show you care by engaging in the class and showing up. If you don't then it is your loss because not only will the teacher take note, but you will miss out on the valuable opportunities provided by the teacher who is above all - though sometimes presumptuous (apologies) - very wise. I have always thought people who can have "off-stage" conversations with this teacher about literature and psychology must be very lucky because of the wonderful perspectives and wisdoms she must impart. In the end, here's my advice to you: do work on time, do not put yourself in situations that make you look undignified or inattentive, engage meaningfully, read carefully, think openly, show respect for the materials and course (that the teacher works so hard on! ) and you will be a-okay, this course is a golden opportunity to learn as much as you are willing to, so be willing to.

Make sure to try your best to hand in all your work on time. Above all, do not make the ultimate misjudgment of choosing to do another class's work in this teacher's class. Trust you will be found and will face a sad fate. If not, you will likely find this teacher's classes very fun and very sweet. The teacher's passion for her subject area is truly insurmountable and greatly contagious, she may just inspire you to be a more geography-aware person, and I assure you in the very best way. Be honest, be passionate, be fun and you'll have a great time and appreciate the teacher who is, despite any impressions, very honest, understanding, generous and truly, kind. I am, as my classmates, very grateful for this class.

Review Kognity 24/7 start a week in advance. Try and find IB style questions. Don't listen to what he says will be on the test as he will sometimes say "X" won't be on the test but will end up being on there.

DO TEXTBOOK QUESTIONS. Although it may seem like a lot, it is an IB Biology course which requires a high amount of memorization and understanding. The textbook questions although usually a lot are assigned they are extremely helpful with active recall and content understanding.
